We started Ember & Glow because most holiday lighting in Central Indiana falls into two camps: do it yourself on a ladder in December, or hire someone who leaves the house looking like a carnival. We wanted a third option.
Philosophy
We believe great lighting starts with restraint. Whether it’s timeless warm white lighting or a carefully planned color display, the goal isn’t to overpower a home. It’s to complement it. When a house is lit correctly, the light traces the architecture, the peaks, the dormers, the columns, and the home simply looks like the best version of itself.
Behind that look is unglamorous discipline. Every strand is measured and cut for your rooflines. Every clip is chosen so it won’t puncture a shingle or bend a gutter. Every circuit is tested after dark before we leave. And when the season ends, we take it all down and store it, labeled, for next year.
We’re based in Central Indiana and we keep our service radius tight on purpose. If a strand goes out in the middle of December, we can be there, not next week, but soon.
A full founder’s letter and team bios are on the way. In the meantime, the fastest way to know how we work is to have us walk your property.
We work in one warm white temperature and one standard of finish. Strands are measured and cut to your rooflines so there’s no sagging, no doubling back, and no visible cord. Clips are chosen for your specific gutters and shingles so nothing is punctured or bent. Every circuit is tested after dark before we leave.
And the season doesn’t end at install. Maintenance visits, bulb replacement, post-storm adjustments, January takedown, and climate-controlled storage are part of every package we quote.
Why Choose Us
Our installers are thoroughly trained, certified, and background checked. They have worked with us for years, and you can count on the same skilled professional installers year after year.
We use commercial C9 and mini LED product with sealed sockets and one consistent warm white temperature. No mismatched strands, no big-box product that fails in February.
We serve Marion, Hamilton, Hancock, Boone, Hendricks, and Johnson counties. When something needs attention, we're a short drive away — not a call center.
Maintenance visits, bulb replacement, and post-storm adjustments are included in every install. Takedown and climate-controlled storage are, too.
our process & workflow
We assess the property with you at no cost, take measurements and photos, and talk through what you’d like the house to feel like from the street. Most consultations take under thirty minutes.
You receive a rendered mockup and a fixed, line-item proposal, strand counts, greenery, timers, service visits, takedown, and storage. Nothing is estimated after the fact.
Our crew installs on a scheduled date, tests every circuit after dark, and returns for maintenance if a strand or bulb ever fails. In January we take everything down and store it.
